FAQs & What To Expect

Your First Visit

What to Expect

When you come in for your first appointment, we recommend that you arrive about 15 minutes early in case we have any additional questions for you before your scheduled appointment time. This will ensure that we have all the correct information regarding your dental history and contact information. This is also a good time for you to ask any questions you may have about finances, insurances, or potential treatment plans.

During your appointment, we will take comprehensive x-rays to detect any potential issues that are too small to be seen by the naked eye. If any issues are present, Dr. Jones and our team will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that accommodates your schedule, budget, and needs. We will gladly walk you through payment and financing options so you feel comfortable and ready to get on track to your optimal dental health.

After your appointment, let us know how we did! Whether you had a stellar experience or you notice there’s room for improvement somewhere, we want to hear your thoughts. Feel free to call us, email us, or leave us a review!

Have Questions?

How Often Should I See the Dentist?

It is important to see Dr. Will for regular exams and cleanings every six months. This will help Dr. Will and our staff accurately track your oral health and catch any potential problems early on before they become larger issues. During your cleaning, we will be able to remove plaque and tartar from hard-to-reach areas that you might not be able to reach with even the most careful and diligent brushing and flossing. This keeps your smile looking bright and feeling healthy. Also, treating problems found during a cleaning or exam is usually much easier and more affordable than waiting until they are causing you pain or discomfort.

Do You Offer Same-Day Appointments?

Yes! We leave room in our schedule for same-day appointments because we know dental emergencies can’t be planned. If you are experiencing dental emergency, please call us right away to let us know that you will be coming in. Dental emergencies include:

  • Knocked-out teeth
  • A persistent toothache
  • Missing or loose dental work

If you are experiencing any of these issues, please come in for an emergency appointment. If your tooth is knocked-out, rinse it with warm water and gently attempt to place it back in its socket. If you can not do this, place the tooth in a small baggie of milk to preserve it, and bring it with you to your appointment.

What Are the Benefits of CEREC Crowns?

At Will Jones Dentistry, we offer our patients in-office CEREC crowns. CEREC stands for ceramic reconstruction. These crowns are custom-made from a porcelain ceramic that is precisely matched to the shade of your teeth. Because we are able to make CEREC crowns in-office, it is possible to get a crown in just one appointment. This is much more efficient than dealing with a temporary crown while waiting 2-3 weeks for an outside lab to make one. A CEREC crown may be recommended to you if you need a root canal, have a missing tooth, or if you have a serious cavity that is too large to be treated with a filling.
